Sophie Hong Hong Lifen graduated from Shih Shih University in fashion design in 1977. Committed to cross-border creation of contemporary clothing and art, advocating the laws of nature and the sustainable relationship between heaven, earth and man. Advocates “make the right clothes, give the right people, wear the right clothes at the right time”.
In the 1980s, the ancient method of Xiangyun yarn ore plant dyeing technology was developed into “Hong Silk” and applied to contemporary clothing art creation. From 1994 to 1996, won the first “Sino-French Technical Exchange” project, the joint scholarship of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Cooperation Office of the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, went to France for research, strengthened international competitiveness, and worked in major cities in Europe, America, Asia, and Africa Hold professional fashion presentations. The works are collected and exhibited by museums at home and abroad, introducing the “beauty” beyond time and space into the world, and also promoting the rebirth of the intangible heritage xiangyun yarn craft.
Currently in charge of Sophie HONG Hong Lifen Studio in Taipei, Carrier Pigeon French Bookstore; and Sophie HONG Paris, the only cultural showcase for Chinese in the Royal Palace National Park, adjacent to the French Ministry of Culture and the French Theater. In 2012, she was awarded the French National Order of Merit Knight in recognition of his contribution to the cultural and educational exchanges between Taiwan and France.
