At the invitation of Centre Culturel et Artistique Franco-Chinois, the Taiwan Women’s Arts Association will present the exhibition *Voices Across Borders: Women’s Creations Blooming from the Island* at the Galerie Choiseul, located in the Passage Choiseul, a French heritage building in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, near the Paris Opera. The exhibition runs from March 30th to April 11th. The exhibition brings together the creative energy of nine Taiwanese female artists, showcasing the diverse facets of contemporary Taiwanese women’s art.<\/p>\n

Curated by association director and artist Jui-Pin Chang, the exhibition centers on the concepts of “thought, ethnicity, and diversity.” Through painting, sculpture, installation, and cross-media, it responds to gender issues, cultural memory, and social structures, demonstrating the keen observation and profound reflection of Taiwanese female artists within a globalized context.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]Nine Participating Artists: Weaving a Landscape of Taiwanese Women’s Creation from Diverse Perspectives<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hsin-Fang Yin<\/strong>
\nConstructing poetic spaces using geometric and spatial vocabulary, her “Insightful Eyes Series” explores the inner mind and life perception through the metaphors of seeing and awareness.<\/p>\n

Chiang Hsin-Ching<\/strong>
\nAn artist and writer who blends ink painting, text, and performance installation, focusing on the temporal consciousness of the digital age and creating meditative contemporary spaces.<\/p>\n

Chiu-Fang Lin<\/strong>
\nMoving between ink painting and printmaking, she focuses on environmental change and migration issues, constructing her paintings with semi-abstract vocabulary, a delicate female perspective, and critical thinking.<\/p>\n

Tsai-Chin Chuang<\/strong>
\nVice Chairperson of the Taiwan Women’s Art Association, she uses the female form as her vocabulary, combining strong colors and multimedia to present the thoughts and power of contemporary Taiwanese women.<\/p>\n

Pei Fang Chang<\/strong>
\nFrom southern Taiwan, she explores the existential space between light, space, and cracks through painting, rediscovering the relationship between self and environment in a fluid world.<\/p>\n

Hsiang-Ling Chen<\/strong>
\nRenowned for her delicate and realistic technique, she explores women’s issues through depictions of Qing Dynasty embroidery, symbolizing the constraints and oppression under the traditional authoritarian system.<\/p>\n

Pei-Ying Huang<\/strong>
\nCrossing boundaries between museums, sculpture, and public art, she transforms industrial materials such as corrugated cardboard and stainless steel washer into organic forms, exploring the generative relationship between life, space, and perception.<\/p>\n

Ma-Li Chia<\/strong>
\nEntering a state of introspection through the repetitive action of sewing, she finds healing and the strength to move forward through the rhythm of her hands and breath.<\/p>\n

Jun T. Lai<\/strong>
\nSpanning painting, sculpture, installation, and public art, her aesthetic core is “free generation,” focusing on the generation of light, space, and relationships, extending the perception of islands and the ocean.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]aiwan Women’s Art Association: Promoting Women’s Art History and International Exchange for Over Two Decades<\/strong><\/p>\n

Founded in 2000, the Taiwan Women’s Art Association has long been committed to research on women’s art history, exhibition planning, and international exchange, currently boasting nearly 200 members. Over the years, it has curated numerous representative exhibitions, continuously promoting the visibility of Taiwanese women’s art both domestically and internationally.<\/p>\n

The association stated that this Paris exhibition is not merely a showcase of artworks, but also a substantive dialogue between Taiwanese female artists and the international contemporary art community. It aims to expand international collaboration networks and enhance the visibility of Taiwanese women’s art on a global scale through cross-cultural exchange.
