Village: Hou Shuzi&#8217;s Discussion on Women&#8217;s Video Writing in the Dependents&#8217; Village&#8221;, the author of the book, Ms. Hou Shuzi, is specially invited to share the content of the book and her story of using photography and art to record the culture of the Dependents&#8217; Village.<br \/>\n\u200b<br \/>\nMs. Hou Shuzi is not only an associate professor of the Department of Crafts and Creative Design at National Kaohsiung University, but also an artist.<br \/>\nIn 2009, Mr. Hou entered the Dependents\u2019 Village in Zuoying, Kaohsiung, and forged an indissoluble bond with the Dependents\u2019 Village in Kaohsiung. What followed was an interweaving process of research and investigation, rescue operations, and filming and creation that lasted eight years. Through the camera lens and pressing the shutter, she presented the life course of the dependents in the village, leaving images and memories for the history of the military dependents.<br \/>\n\u200b<br \/>\nThe creation of &#8220;Kaohsiung Military Dependents&#8217; Village Trilogy&#8221; began with the first part &#8220;We Meet Here&#8221; (2010-2013), focusing on the inspirational new village, Fuxing New Village, Chongshi New Village and Self-help New Village in Zuoying, Kaohsiung. People and scenery after the demolition; followed by a two-part &#8220;The Long Days Will End&#8221; (2015) themed on Huangpu New Village, Fengshan, Kaohsiung; The trilogy &#8220;Where is the Township&#8221; (2010-2017) focuses on the female diaspora video narrative of the post-war military immigrants in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, facing the drastic changes in their families.<br \/>\nHou Shuzi attempted to discuss the three different fates of the Kaohsiung Military Dependents Village at the end of the family reform (disappeared, unable to return, and struggling to survive), and wrote Zuoying through the dictation of the interviewees of the Kaohsiung Military Dependents Village and her own notes on the dramatic changes in the Dependents Village The last figure with Fengshan Village.<br \/>\n\u200b<br \/>\nAfter experiencing the culture of military dependents\u2019 villages across the country, and studying in military dependents\u2019 villages in Kaohsiung, I finally invite everyone to come and understand another aspect of military dependents\u2019 villages.
