She graduated from the Department of Drama at National Taipei University of the Arts (formerly National College of Arts) in 1999. During her studies, she also attended Tainan Home Economics College (now Tainan University of Applied Sciences), receiving diverse artistic training in music, dance, and fine arts, earning a five-year associate degree.
During her university years, she was already involved in performing arts creation. She co-founded the “Interactive Squatting and Jumping” experimental theater troupe with classmates, performing multiple shows at the former “Yao Le” theater on Linyi Street in Taipei and the former “Hua Deng Art Center” on Youai Street in Tainan. Her works included *Oedipus Rex*, exploring the expression of body, space, and emotion through theatrical experiments and live performances, laying a solid foundation for her performing arts and cultural practice.
Since her youth, she has harbored a deep passion for art and culture and has long been involved in related field practices. For many years, she has been deeply rooted in Tainan’s cultural scene, having previously operated the iconic cultural bar spaces “Ruined City” and “Arsenal” in the city, which she continues to operate today. Combining music, performing arts, and visual culture, she has created a nighttime space for exchange that blends artistic atmosphere with humanistic spirit, providing a platform for creators and cultural workers to showcase their talents and engage in dialogue, becoming an important hub for the local cultural community.
In recent years, with “River Music and Inflammation” and “River Music Art Salon” as its core, she continues to develop cultural spaces that integrate art, literature, music, and lifestyle aesthetics. Through curating, themed salons, and interdisciplinary exchange activities, she promotes art into daily life, ensuring that culture is not merely confined to exhibition spaces but becomes a tangible, shareable, and enduring practice.
Through years of cultural activism, she has gradually shaped a creative and curatorial style that emphasizes humanistic spirit, emotional connection, and spatial aesthetics. She pays particular attention to women’s creative energy, life experiences, and intergenerational inheritance, hoping to support diverse creative voices through a gentle yet firm female perspective and promote deeper connections between art and the community.
I aspire to continuously grow and improve in the vast ocean of art, and to put cultural responsibility into practice through action, making art an important force for nourishing people’s hearts and uniting communities.
