Taking her hometown of Kinmen as her subject, the artist, through the process of creating paintings, rekindles memories of the wilderness from his childhood and expresses fleeting remnants of her hometown’s landscape and history through mixed media.
The human mind contains memories; one can choose to hide them or carry them with them to challenge new life. Illusions arise from the interplay of old and new experiences. By absorbing and transforming these experiences, the artist expresses them in a “meaningful form” in his paintings. The content of his paintings corresponds to the artist’s current spiritual state, combining his understanding of life and existence.
