Hui-Ying Tsai’s works have the characteristics of literary narrative. She is interested in the spatial relationship formed by the metaphysical and material humanities and nature, and runs through her creations with personal experience. The symbols in his works reflect the historical and cultural meaning of human beings, conveying the implied relationship between individual and collective, and between man and the world. She is good at finding approachable and overlapping elements in different cultures, distilling poetic works suitable for public participation and easily stimulating dialogue. In addition to having local characteristics in symbols and narratives, her artistic creations also have accumulated rich cultural observations behind them, giving full play to the functions of artistic creations in participating in community development and cultivating local culture.
The closely intertwined relationship between human behavior and habitat is reflected in the daily material and spiritual. When the first-hand experience dies with the decay of the body, history and myths pile up the foundation of the spirit and soul. Where does the divinity of people and objects come from? In the flow of time, people and objects gradually become principles, and this abstraction process is presented as perceptible entities in the material world through objects. And her creation is just like this process of materialization, and what the work provides to the viewer is an experience, and art is a means to explore the essence of life and the meaning of existence.
