Born in New Zealand, with Indian and Pacific ethnic ancestry. Singh’s specialty is exploring the intersection between art, education and people’s well-being. Since graduating from Elam Academy of Fine Arts (NZ) with a BFA (hons) in 2008, she has been committed to sustainable community connections, exploring participation in art through social practice methods. Singh represented New Zealand at the 18th Sydney Biennale in 2012, the Contemporary Asian Art Biennale at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in 2011, and the 12th Tae Hwa Ecological Art Festival in South Korea in 2018. Works have been included in the permanent collections of Te Papa Tongarewa, New Zealand Museum, Dunedin Public Art Gallery, Women’s Hospital, Brisbane Australia, Sunshine Coast Hospital Australia and New Zealand Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
